Methylene Blue and Ascorbic Acid Combination
Take some warm or hot water, warmer hot water, put half a teaspoon of ascorbic acid in the water then add 20 drops 10 milligrams of pharmaceutical grade methylene blue drops.
When Methylene Blue is combined with ascorbic acid (vitamin C) it turns it into Leuko Methylene Blue giving Methylene Blue an extra electron becoming DHAA dehydroascorbic acid.
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is poorly taken up inside the brain alone. Oxidised Methylene Blue DHAA, rapidly crosses the blood-brain barrier and uses the glute transporters, (the same transporter that’s used for glucose). It is facilitated by insulin the same way to get inside the cell. This then allows a much greater percent of the vitamin C, to be readily taken into the brain.
Methylene Blue and Ascorbic acid are the perfect synergy.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is a powerful antioxidant but to expand the matrix of vitamin C and other antioxidant molecules in the body so that the electrons already present in the system have a great facility and being easily distributed throughout the cytoplasm and throughout the organelles. Methylene Blue and Ascorbic acid are the perfect synergy.
Methylene Blue, like Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) donate electrons, generating a flow of electrons, which gives you micro-currents and generates voltage potentials across a cell. Now for the Science Bit
ORAC – Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity means how quickly and completely an antioxidant gives up an electron, but ORAC does not measure in any degree how readily it takes that electron back. Some antioxidants are powerful, but they don’t get where you want to get in the body so are poorly distributed. What makes Methylene Blue unique above and beyond Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) alone is it rapidly gets taken up, not only inside the cells, but specifically inside the mitochondria. So Methylene Blue selectively accumulates inside the mitochondria, it bypasses the entire electron chain transfer series of complexes, and donates the electron to the final one in the electron train which allows the development of protons that fuel the ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) synthase pump. In going through the entire electron transport chain, not only are you getting the electron down to that final spot where it needs to be but this is less efficient as you are generating more oxidative stress in the process, causing mitochondrial dysfunction. When we generate too much oxidative stress relative to the amount of energy that you generate, and then it’s a vicious cycle and things slow down and shut down. What makes Methylene Blue so special is it goes straight to the end of the electron train and allows you to make ATP without generating the oxidative stress. On the other hand, when Methylene Blue comes into the oxidised state, it goes to the first complex where there’s a lot of what’s called NADH (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide). The NADH will directly give the electron Methylene Blue, and then it’ll go to the other end of the train to generate ATP.

Methylene Blue does not react well with SSRI Antidepressants
Start with a really low dose and work up. Methylene Blue does not work well with SSRI anti-depressants so try to tapper off these types of medication.

Dosage
Add a quarter to a half a teaspoon of Ascorbic acid into warm water, add two drops of Methylene Blue, and drink once a day. You can increase this dose to five-ten drops of Methylene Blue over a course of weeks. The ideal suggested dosage is 0.5 milligram per kilogram body weight up to maybe two milligrams per kilogram body weight.
It is important that it is ascorbic acid, if you use sodium ascorbate, you’re not going to get the electron donor with the Methylene Blue.
